Energy Save New West is a community energy-efficiency program designed & mobilized by the City of New Westminster.
The City of New Westminster is committed to protecting, enhancing and managing the natural environment in order to provide a sustainable living environment for local residents. This commitment is supported by the target and objectives of New Westminster’s Community Energy & Emissions Plan (CEEP) and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets set in its Official Community Plan (OCP).
The City of New Westminster Electrical Utility supports demand side management initiatives and manages the oldest continuously-operating electrical utility in British Columbia. The Electrical Utility distributes electricity to 29,000 residential customers and 3,000 commercial enterprises.
Through the provision of services, training and incentives, Energy Save New West advances energy efficiency solutions for local New Westminster residents and businesses.

A comprehensive suite of program solutions including access to energy assessments, technical energy coaching, energy upgrades and access to utility rebates.
Participant Support
A secure customer journey with end-to-end program support to make it straightforward and easier for homeowners and businesses to participate and have a better overall experience with Energy Save New West.
Technical Consulting
Proactive consultation with participants to maximize the potential benefits of energy efficiency retrofits including increased uptake of program rebates and incentives offered by City of New Westminster, FortisBC and BC Hydro.
Industry Training
Positive industry engagement with local builders, designers and architects including training and professional development from the program that encourages design and construction of better homes in New Westminster.

CleanBC Better Homes is BC’s online hub for homeowners and businesses to access information, rebates and support to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions in new and existing homes and buildings.
